MAGNETIC ISLAND is a tropical getaway only a 20 minute ferry ride from the North Queensland city of Townsville. Most of the island is National Park with walking tracks leading to secluded beaches.
The vegetation is unique to this island with trees growing out of granite boulders.
There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen including koalas, rock wallabies, possums, curlews, sea birds and geckos.
There is a regular bus service around the island and hire cars and scooters are available.
The island has two supermarkets, a couple of corner stores, two hotels and restaurants catering
for all tastes and budgets.
RETROPARADISE is ideally located to allow you to explore and discover the natural treasures of this beautiful island.
RETROPARADISE is a revamped fifties beach house located in beautiful Geoffrey Bay on Magnetic Island, North Queensland.
It is ideally positioned as it is a short walk from Alma Bay and a 5 minute bus or taxi ride from the Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal.
RETROPARADISE is on Marine Parade with Marine Park and reef directly out the front. Swim at high tide, or snorkel off the edge of the reef or explore the corals at low tide.
Enjoy the views of the beach all day every day as the coconut palms sway gently in the breeze.
There are unobstructed views to the beach and a great sunset every day.
RETROPARADISE has two bedrooms, with one double and two single beds. Bed linen and bathroom towels are supplied (just bring a beach towel). It has a full HD TV with DVD player.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove and hotplates and a washing machine.
It is decorated in happy pastel colours.
